Worthington Consultant's Preliminary Review of Draft EA

On October 12, 2004 presentations were made to Worthington City Council concerning an analysis of the Draft EA.

Requests for an Environmental Impact Statement

The following organizations have requested Ohio State complete a full Environmental Impact Statement instead of the smaller scale Environmental Assessment they have done to date.

City of Worthington	Resolution "Expressing the Request of Worthington City Council to The Ohio State University to Join in Petitioning the Federal Aviation Administration to Perform an Environmental Impact Study and Part 150 Noise Study in Conjunction with the Proposed Expansion of The Ohio State University Airport."
Village of Riverlea	"A Resolution Requesting that the Federal Aviation Administration Perfrom an Environmental Impact Study Regarding Don Scott Airport"
Representative Linda Reidelback	Ohio State House Representative Linda Reidelback's requests that OSU complete a full Environmental Impact Statement.
Representative Jim Hughes	Ohio State House Representative Jim Hughes requests that OSU complete a full Environmental Impact Statement.

Letters of Support to OSU

OSU has not provided any other letters of support to date.

Statement of Support from Four Civic Associations	The Mayor of Riverlea, which did not sign this statement, has publicly stated that airport director Doug Hammon told her that if expansion went through, the noise would move to the new runway and therefore Riverlea should support the expansion. It is reasonable to believe the other signatories were also extended this false promise. Since they signed the letter of support over a year ago, and many new facts have come to light since then, these organizations should revisit the issue.

Airport Advisory Committee Meetings

The airport has an Advisory Committee with representatives from the airport, the University and its consultants, the FAA, and the community to review and comment on the technical aspects of the airport expansion proceedings.

DLZ's Request for Contract Amendments	DLZ's 11-12-2003 request for additional funds to complete the Environment Assessment. Among the reasons cited was unexpected opposition to the expansion.
